Drop of Water

A few weeks before I began my blog, I designed a self-study colored pencil art lesson plan. After making a list of the tips and techniques within this media that I want to practice, I collected information on these techniques from all of my colored pencil books and general art books in my library. There's so much to learn. Reflections in water, mirror reflections, painting metals and the study of grisaille are a few. My list has turned into a notebook.

First on the list is this drop of water done on Stonehenge using Prismacolor colored pencils, 2.5" x 3.5." My next step is to create a drawing/painting that includes a drop of water--an apple or a flower with drops of water.
