Postcard Exchange #35--by Carol

Carol is a fellow artist and Texan who teaches creativity classes. Her postcard is an excellent example of her creativity. It shows the variety of embellishments possible with the making of fabric postcards.

To make the personalized ribbon that is placed diagonally across the card, she printed the words "Postcard Exchange #35" onto white fabric using her printer. She then cut it into strips and fused it onto black ribbon. Clever, Carol.

(Note: In order to print onto fabric using your printer, first iron your 8 1/2" x 11" piece of fabric onto a piece of freezer paper that is cut the same size. The freezer paper will give it stability as it goes through the printer.)

Carol added colorful yarns, fabric and ribbon to the postcard. She topped it with netting and randomly stitched over the entire piece. She included red crystals (my favorite embellishment) over the netting. Nice work. Thanks, Carol.
