Holiday Star--Fabric Postcard

(Holiday Star, Fabric Postcard, 4" x 6")

"Holiday Star" is a very simple design and composition. I embellished this postcard using one of the Inchies I made in a previous exchange, and added a red star button. It seems to add a nice touch of contrast. The star design is thread painted with black thread. The background is machine quilted using gold metallic thread.

Using Neocolor II to paint onto fabric is fun and easy. The design doesn't need to be complicated. I used two colors of wax crayons for this piece: turquoise blue and yellow. A design piece can be as simple as this star, or a bit more flourished as with Frostee Jr. Adding a few embellishments to enhance a simple design can transform it into a pleasing composition. What do you think?

By the way, Frostee Jr. is still looking for his sister, Crystal. Where is she?

This postcard will make its way to Charlotte of Virginia. Enjoy, Charlotte!

Your "simple" does not look like my simple. Fantastic cards. Where is Crystal? Is she waiting for the big freeze. When do crystals form? lol

Funny, Dove.

Could Crystal be hiding?

Thanks, Cindy.

Crystal might be shopping. She might melt in the Bahamas. ;-D

Is she lurking?
