Love Birds

Love Birds, Fabric Paper on Hardboard, (5" x 7")
Fannie Narte

After working on my bears for the past week, it was good to create with fabric paper. Fabric paper is effective in creating stained glass designs.

LEARNING WHILE CREATING

I think I made this piece too complicated in design, and the design of the bird was lost. Adding dots in certain areas gave it some structure and redeemed some of the lost design. My project for tomorrow is to attempt this piece again, but make the design a bit simpler.

BLOG ANNIVERSARY

Tomorrow begins the 10-day countdown to my Blog Anniversary! Wow!

To celebrate, each piece I post from tomorrow until the day of my anniversary, which is July 13, will be given away in a drawing on the 13th. Visitors who leave comments to my posts beginning tomorrow until the 13th will be entered. There will be ten items in the giveaway!

Come celebrate with me.

See you tomorrow!
Fannie

I was just thinking last night about making some paper fabric. I bought the supplies several weeks ago and have not attempted it thus far. Your pieces are beautiful as always, this one just has more character. Can't wait to see the next.

Hi! Happy almost anniversary. I enjoyed your bird piece and think they show up pretty well although maybe better if the background was a different color. I will check back and see what results you come up with next. Thanks for your sharing of techniques and everything.
