Sing With One Voice--Greeting Card

Sing With One Voice, Greeting Card, 4.25" x 5.5"
© 2008 Fannie Narte

Here's the completed card made with the ACEO from yesterday's post.

HOW I CONSTRUCTED THIS CARD

The ACEO was mounted to a tag, which was painted black with acrylic paint. Using a white gel pen, the phrase "Sing With One Voice" and white musical notes were added to the tag.

Next, the above unit was mounted over five rows of black fancy yarn, which represents musical staff lines. The five rows of yarn were mounted to green handmade paper. The ends of the black yarn were secured with straight stitching using black thread.

It's ready for mailing!
HEART ART

Producing a thank you card for the curator of the Breaking Traditions Exhibit with a piece that represents my original art quilt submission makes the greeting card more meaningful, which is a goal of all things handmade. This is my offering of a heart art for the day.

Sing With One Voice! Enjoy your weekend! Thanks for looking.

Wonderful card!
The use of yarn to represent the music staff was so clever.
