Create, Fiber Art Mixed Media, Collage 2, 8" x 10"
© 2009 Fannie Narte
Collage Mania 2009 Donation

This collage is donated to the Collage Mania 2009, one of the fundraising projects of Fiber Art For a Cause, an organization founded by Virginia Spiegel. This collage will be one of many that will be offered for sale during May 5, 6 and 7, 2009. The monies raised in this project will benefit the American Cancer Society.

The main element of this collage is one of my fiber art quilts in the "Three Blossoms" series. It's mounted on an 8" x 10" board. The text is printed on painted watercolor paper and secured to a piece of blue hand-dyed cheesecloth.

This collage is dedicated to Brenda and the memory of her mom, Zelda Rose Scott, who passed from cancer.

What better post to leave this message on, than one in which you are giving yet again.

Today I received your lovely ATC from the OWOH giveaway, along with your incredibly gracious letter you sent with it.

Thank you so much for the chance to own a bit of your art. You are truly a gifted and generous artist.

So beautiful and so thoughtful. I just saw an article on Collage Mania in my quilting magazine yesterday. I wanted to share with you an article about my 4-H quilters. I had two of them published recently. I thought you would enjoy the one written by my 4-H'er sharing her quilting memories. The projects we did made a difference in her life...just like you have touched so many with your art. I hope this posting finds you doing well. Blessings, Jenna Louise

Thanks for stopping by, Friends. I enjoy reading your thoughts and your generosity in good wishes.

Hanna, snowy Austria sounds romantic. Wish I were there.

Melissa, good to have you back. Do you have sea legs? ;-D

Welcome back to blogland, Janet. Missed you.

Diana, I could say the same to you--you are the Queen of Hearts!

Elizabeth, glad to hear you received the ATC.

You're welcome, Brenda. Thank you for sharing your heart.

JL, you have a sharing heart. You are teaching more than quilting to those young women. They are also learning "life" and "generosity." Thanks.

Marianne, thanks for the good wishes. I'm trying to change the world one artwork at a time.
