Three Roses Leaf

Three Roses Leaf, Fiber Art, 5" x 7"
© 2009 Fannie Narte

This leaf will soon make its way to Alabama and will be one of thousands of leaves that will be a part of The Tree Project, The International Fiber Collaborative's 2008–2009 project titled "Interdependence." "Participants will create a full-sized tree for display in April 2009 at Big Springs International Park in Huntsville, Alabama. Participants from around the world are invited to create leaves to contribute to the creation of the tree. In total, up to 30,000 leaves may be used."

I attached floral wire to the edge of the leaf to give it a sculpted look.

If you're interested in participating in The Tree Project,
follow the link for more information and requirements.
The site states that the deadline is March 15.
However, the deadline has been moved to April 15.
So there's still
time to participate.

Smile!

Hi Fannie! Your leaf is just beautiful, so spirit lifting. I've been out for awhile, things have been tough at work and I pray all will be safe in the next few months. I'm back in my sewing room, finding peace and creativity for the soul. Blessings to you my dear blogging friend. Jenna Louise

Your leaf is very nice. The flowers make it a "Fannie" design.
