That's the challenge question Jenny Doh asked her readers. We were instructed to submit a block no larger than 8" x 8" inspired by the contents of our purses.

INSPIRATION AMID THE MESS
If you follow my blog, you know how much I love to use pansies in my artwork.
Looking into my purse was a scary sight. I'm glad we didn't need to send a photograph of that. Whew!
My purse was a receptacle of organized chaos. Candy wrappers and kleenex surrounded my wallet, keys and cell phone like protective bubble wrap. In between the maze of mess and important "stuff" was a pansies notepaper and a stray postage stamp--ahhh . . . the inspiration.
The Tiffany stained glass lamp postage stamp inspired the block design and the black thread sketching around the pansies and leaves. A piece of fabric with printed musical notes were used for some of the pansies' petals. Tone-on-tone fabrics were used for the remainder of the quilt block.
A COUPLE OF MY FAVORITE ARTICLES
Ruth Rae has several articles in this issue, including Poetry Pinafores. Lisa Engelbrecht shares her artwork combining her calligraphy and fiber in an article titled "Letters to Live By." This issue is packed with eye candy.
Also included are future calls for submissions. Maybe we'll see your artwork in a future publication?
