She Found Kindred Spirits and Magic

She Found Kindred Spirits and Magic was inspired by the movie "Memoirs of a Geisha" and my own memories of growing up in a multi-cultural community.

When we learn something new, we increase our knowledge and skills. When we travel to a new place or country, we experience different cultures and languages. When we do something different than our "usual" or "normal," we travel outside of our comfort zones.

When we experience a change of any kind, we symbolically put on the shoes of another; we erase the lines of division and expand the space of understanding.

We may speak different languages, but our heart's songs and needs are the same regardless of our zip codes.

Celebrating Kindred Spirits and Magic . . .

I love your picture and thoughts. Honoring diversity is so very important to me, it is a value that I wish everyone would embrace.

Thanks for sprinkling some sunshine here, Brenda and Natasha May.

Jacq, ditto. Some find this subject difficult, but I've got to create the songs in my heart, and this is what I heard. ;-D Thanks for your friendship.
