Whimsical Rose is in Pretty Little Mini Quilts by Lark Books

Whimsical Rose Art Quilt, can be found on Pages 83-85
Pretty Little Mini Quilts published by Lark Books.

The introductory states:

"What's the most traditional sewing you can do? Making quilts, of course.

"What's the most contemporary, cutting-edge (pun intended) sewing you can do? Same answer. With the explosion of art quilts being created today--abstract, figurative, collage and more--you're now more likely to see a quilt in a gallery or museum than on a four-poster bed."

If you want to try a new technique, are short on time, or would like to create personalized gifts, 25 designers share 31 mini quilt projects (no larger than 36 inches in length or height) in this 145-page book published by Lark Books.

My project, "Whimsical Rose," was made using watersoluble wax pastels on bleached muslin. I created this piece to give you room to personalize it by adding different images, text, beads or other embellishments in the boxed spaces.
