This is my next unfinished, untitled art quilt submission for AAQI.  Just as this quilt is a work-in-progress, the work that AAQI does is a continuing work-in-progress.  Hundreds of AAQI angels donate their time, resources and quilts to help find a cure for Alzheimer's disease.

  ~~~ NEWS ALERT ~~~
"We now have proof that what we do with a needle and thread can truly make a difference." ~Ami Simms
Ami Simms published an article titled "Quilters Finance Alzheimer's Discovery!" yesterday on The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative Update blog.  She reported:
"In March the AAQI awarded a $30,000 grant to the University of Michigan. This was the third of six research grants awarded by the AAQI so far.
"We have just learned that the research financed by the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative (AAQI) and carried out by Dr. Mi Hee Lim and her colleagues at the University of Michigan has yielded positive results! Their research has been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science and if you googleUnraveling Alzheimer’s: Simple small molecules could untangle complex disease” you’ll see that thousands of web pages are carrying the story."
This is the kind of news all of us at AAQI hope for.  If you have participated in AAQI's efforts in some way by donating quilts, your time or resources, THANK YOU!  If you have purchased my quilts, THANK YOU!  This is a team effort.  THANK YOU, Ami Simms and your team of AAQI Angels!
"To everyone who has supported the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative — whether you threaded your needle, opened your wallet, or helped spread the word — EVERYONE can take pride in knowing that what they did has moved us just a little bit closer to a cure! The road ahead is still very long, but…" ~Ami Simms
Helping to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease one art quilt at a time . . .  Thank you for your help . . .
