Love You Forever

Love You Forever, Mixed Media Art Quilt, 9" x 9"
© 2011 Fannie Narte

Love You Forever is in the May AAQI online auction, which goes live on May 1st and ends on May 10th.

THE INSPIRATION

Alzheimer's is a cruel and heartless disease that robs a person of his or her history one memory at a time until nothing is left but an empty shell.  Caregivers, family members and loved ones are devastated when a loved one is affected by Alzheimer's. I wanted to express the ideas that although our loved ones slowly disappear over time, our love for them and our memories with them never--ever--disappear.

"Forgotten history, forgotten memories, forgotten birthdays, forgotten Christmases, forgotten holidays, forgotten . . . but . . . Love You Forever."

Please help me raise lots and lots and lots of $$ to fund Alzheimer's research.  Trying to make a difference one quilt at a time.  Thanks!

That is a beautiful piece, really touches the meaning of the disease. I need to go back and read more on the site.
