Abstract Freedom

Abstract Freedom, Art Quilt, 11.5" x 11.5"
© 2011 Fannie Narte

Feeling free to go in a new direction, apprehensive but not afraid, excited but cautious, open to exploring new techniques, new designs, excited about all the things I'll discover, feeling optimistic.  I know I'll fail at some projects and I will fall from time to time.  I know that not everyone will understand my art, but I know I must create "my" art.  I know that not everyone will like my art, but I know I must create art that I like.  I know there will be critics who will judge me, who will criticize my words, who will laugh at my art, who will question my creations, but I cannot let their noises distract me from traveling forward in my artful journey.  I must not be afraid to create what I need to create.  I must be me in my world of art.

I am inspired by those who have traveled this road before me.

I enjoy creating and playing and exploring and discovering.  I like bright colors, and I like textures, and I like imperfect lines, and I like creating in an unstructured environment. I am curious.  I have different ideas.  I am at home in my studio.  I am happy when I'm creating.

I am grateful to those who have traveled this road before me.

Artist -- American . . . I'm free to be . . .

Thinking and feeling grateful -- Happy Fourth!

Love the art piece and love your statement! How true you are to be yourself and you are a testament to your fellow artists. We must stitch/paint to our own creative minds and understand that we will not be understood my all.

Besides being grateful for those that have traveled before us, I am grateful for those I am traveling with!

Hope to see you soon my friend!

You have stated how I am feeling these days, time for me to be me;) Not sure what that is, but we shall see.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday weekend.

Hi, Debbie. Happy Fourth! Have fun discovering "you." We'll enjoy this journey separately but together. Hope you and your family had a great weekend!
