Abstract Crayon Painting--What???

© 2012 Fannie Narte

How Did I Do This?

1 Stretched Canvas
6 boxes of crayons (12-pack)
board (to glue crayons)

heat gun and/or hair dryer

Now what would happen if I used Neocolors instead of crayons, and if I used fabric instead of a stretched canvas?

Have a magical day!  ♥♫♥

How about trying the crayons on stretched fabric? When you're done, just iron to heat set and have a ball! I love your sense of artistic freedom. Hugs!!

Wow! That's awesome! The hair dryer just melted the crayons and they dripped?! :-)

Hi, Beth. Have you tried this on fabric? Thanks for your suggestion. I'll post my results. I feel FREEEEEEEE, wheeeeeee. ♥♫♥

Yes, the hair dryer melted the crayons and they dripped down the canvas. I also played with the angle of the hair dryer to get lines of color to look like splatters. It was fun. Easy project. Try it with your girls. ♥♫♥

That is fun, but I wonder if it would melt and flow as freely on fabric?

That's a great question, Debbie. We'll learn together. ♥♫♥
