"Angel Cat" is on her way to the AAQI to help raise funds for Alzheimer's research.
Angel Cat wants to sing her favorite song, but she can't remember the words. She's hoping that someone can help her remember . . .
HOW DID I MAKE "ANGEL CAT"?
I painted the fabric with Neocolor II and added stenciling with textile paints to the background. Her face was painted using textile paints and acrylic paints. There are silk ribbon embroidered flowers on a silk painted applique which was fused to her front and machine quilted. I added angelina fibers onto her wings and quilted over them. The black lines were hand stitched using embroidery floss. It is also beaded and the background is machine quilted with my woodgrain design.
ANGEL CAT WAS ON TOUR AND IS READY TO FIND A NEW HOME THROUGH THE AAQI
The Texas members of the Studio Art Quilt Associates created 9" x 12" mini quilts, which were first displayed at the International Quilt Show, Houston, TX, November 2010 and went on a traveling tour in 2011. "Angel Cat" was a part of that exhibit.
I hope "Angel Cat" raises lots of $$ for Alzheimer's research!
